Ribonuclease-Resistant SARS-CoV-2 mRNA is an
mRNA-protein complex,
produced in
Escherichia coli by the induction of an expression plasmid that encodes
both the MS2 coat protein and SARS-CoV-2 mRNA sequence. Upon
IPTG induction, both SARS-CoV-2 mRNA and MS2 coat protein are synthesized and
assembled
into pseudoviral nanoparticles. The
purified MS2 coat protein-SARS-CoV-2 mRNA complex is DNA-free and protected from degradation
by RNase. The MS2 SARS-CoV-2 mRNA nanoparticles are stable at 4 °C or room temperature for up to 6 months
