2X HiFi ÄQStartTM Taq Mastermix is formulated for faster and easier preparation of PCR reactions, requiring only the addition of primers, templates and water. A reduction in the number of pipetting steps also ensures more reproducible PCR.

HiFi ÄQStartTM Taq DNA polymerase contains purified monoclonal antibodies that bind to the polymerase and keep it inactive prior to the initial PCR denaturation step. Upon heat activation (1 minute at 94°C), the antibodies denature irreversibly, releasing fully active, unmodified Taq DNA polymerase. This enables specific and efficient primer extension with the convenience of room temperature reaction assembly.

HiFi ÄQStartTM Taq DNA polymerase contains a small amount of ultra high fidelity thermal stable DNA polymerase with 3’→5’ exonuclease activity. This leads to up to 6-fold higher fidelity PCR amplification than Taq DNA polymerase alone and enables amplification of DNA fragments up to 20-kb.

Storage Conditions -20°C
Stability 3 years at -80 °C; 2 years at -20°C, up to 1 year at 4°C. Repeated freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided but does not affect product performance significantly.
