In addition to the quality tests included with some of our services, the following tests are offered to assess the infectivity, purity and functionality of the generated recombinant Adenovirus.
In addition to providing the viral titer, Viral Particle Titration Assays can also be used to test the quality of Adenovirus preparation by determining the VP/IU ratio (viral particle to infectious unit ratio).
The Identity Test consists of performing a Western Blot to confirm the identity of a recombinant protein produced with an Adenovirus vector.
Four or five additional tests are offered to assure the best possible quality of the viral preparation:
- the Sterility Test confirms the sterility of the viral stock
- the Mycoplasma Test verifies the abcense of mycoplasma in the viral preparation
- the Endotoxin Tests document the level of endotoxin in the viral stock (gel clot on chromagenic tests available)
- the RCA-PCR Assay tests the presence of RCA (Replication Competent Adenovirus) in the preparation
