Overview	The D7324 tag (APTKAKRRVVQREKR) is derived from the conserved C terminal of HIV-1 gp120 corresponding to amino acids numbers 497-511 of the BH10 strain of HIV-1 (Ratner , L. et al., Nature, 313, 277-284 (1985). The target was first used for capturing HIV-1 envelope with a goat polyclonal antibody D7324 in capture ELISA format. It has then been used as an epitope tag in expression of recombinant soluble membrane proteins (including HIV-1, SIV, Dengue, Zika, and Lassa virus (LASV), et al) for conventional capture ELISA in detection of antibody immune response and monoclonal antibody screening and characterization. Many recombinant viral envelope proteins have been engineered to express C-terminal D7324 tag, which does not appear to interfere with the bioactivity of the recombinant protein. The monoclonal antibody 1E2 can capture C-terminal, D7324-tag fusion proteins as well as many native Env from lysate of HIV-1 virions or infected cells
