Molecular Biologist (available immediately)

Job responsibilities: 
* Subcloning of human genes to protein expression vectors
* Protein expression in bacteria, insect cells or mammalian cells
* Protein purification using Pharmacia AKTA FPLC systems
* Stable protein expression cell line development
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
* A B.S. or M.S. degree
* Two years laboratory research experience in cloning, or protein expression and purification. Experience should include PCR, qPCR, cloning, protein expression in either bacteria, insect cells or mammalian cells. 
* Motivated
* Organized and attention to detail
* Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
* Good interpersonal skills: must be a good team player
* Good communication (both verbal and written) and analytical skills
* Ability to follow general instructions and work well independently 
* Ability to work flexible hours to accomplish assigned tasks

Protein Expression and Purification Specialist

Employee may be required to operate automated and semi-automated equipment. Lifting up to 20 lbs will be required on a frequent basis. May be required to stand for long periods of time while performing duties. May intermittently sit at desk for a long period of time to answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. May work in a cold room for up to 10 minutes per hour. May work in temperatures below zero degrees for short lengths of time. Must be able to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials. Must be able to work flexible hours to accomplish assigned tasks.  Skills: Requires 1-2 years experience in the application of column chromatography laboratory techniques in a research laboratory. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of scientific laboratory techniques, equipment and materials required. Experience in the use of basic laboratory techniques, including buffer preparation, protein gel electrophoresis, column chromatography, and dialysis are beneficial.  Consistent, dependable and accurate in carrying out responsibilities

Education: Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other related discipline, or the equivalent knowledge and experience.

 

Biotech Sales Specialist

Strong communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills. Strong telephone skills.  Service minded with responsiveness to customers' needs. Ability to work in a fast pace environment with tight deadlines. Ability to multitask. Ability to work independently. Attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work immediately. Must have a B.S.  degree in cell biology, or molecular biology, or a related discipline.

 

2015 Summer Internship

 

Molecular Biology: the interns will have the opportunity to learn molecular biology techniques such as gene synthesis by PCR, cloning and subcloning, qPCR, protein expression and purification, production of viral vectors (lentivirus, adenovirus). Must be at least 18 years old.
